The good...the bad... and the ugly

We'll start with the good things that have happend the past six days.
Memorial Day Weekend
We headed up north with five other wonderful UMD families. We stayed at a resort and shared this cabin with Teresa and her family. Minus the heat, bugs, ear infections, and lack of air conditioning, we did have a great time. The kids loved the water. It was so fun to see everyone's children and how they are all growing. We hope to do this for years to come. We are really looking forward to the years where the parents stay up late by the campfire and don't worry about getting the kids to sleep.
Last night we went out with Shelly to celebrate her big '3-0' and our eight years of marriage. We ate outside in St. Paul. It was such a beautiful evening.
The bad (minus the bugs and heat mentioned above)
CAW was ill the entire weekend. I brought him to the doc yesterday and his ear infection has not gone away. He has been fighting this since May 7. Yikes. We are seeing an ENT specialist about maybe getting tubes.
Now the ugly!
I spent three hours last night with CAW in the ER. It was finally decided after x-rays and many tests that he has pneumonia. He woke up around 2:00 a.m. with very labored breathing. It was very scary and he is still not in good shape.
We are all very hopeful that June brings health to our little boy.
