Weekend Update....

I don't have much time to write. This is a crazy, busy week and upcoming month for our family. However I had some fun pix to share.

Last week was full of fun and a great end to our summer. I would suggest you should all have my Mom come stay with you. She does laundry, cooks, cleans, gets up with your kids in the early hours, and takes excellent care of your children. And she's free! The kids had a great time with her and Uncle D and I were able to get some time away which was great fun also. We so appreciate her spending her last four days of freedom before school starts with our family.

This past Saturday we headed in the Cities for 'back-to-school' haircuts. We then hung out at Auntie's for awhile. CBW and CAW did so well during their haircuts.

On Sunday I met my wonderful high school friends for dinner. We ate outside along the river and it was the most perfect night. So fun to catch up and enjoy the beautiful weather.

After trying about 20 different options we were not able to find daycare for today and tomorrow. That sucks. This means that Uncle D came home for dinner last night and then had to go back until about 1:00 a.m. because he will be working from home today and tomorrow and is feeling way behind. Of course CAW would choose this night to be wide awake at 4:30. We finally got him back down at 6:30 a.m. He didn't seem sick, he just wanted to play. Uncle D will probably repeat this schedule tonight and tomorrow night.

Tonight we are hosting a work party at our house (just the dessert portion). Tomorrow night we have daycare open-house and then Thursday will be a very late night for me as we welcome our new students to campus. Uncle D's folks are coming to help out for Thursday and Friday so that will be a huge help since I probably won't even see my kids for at least two days (unless CAW decides to see me at 4:30 a.m. again=)

CBW was helping me clean up last night. She was so funny 'Mom, I will make sure Uncle D and CAW don't make a mess tomorrow before your party. I promise!' I wonder how that is working today=)
