Flu Shots

It was a busy weekend at our house. Uncle D was busy, busy with Homecoming. The kids had a blast at the Homecoming parade but my camera battery was dead so I don't have anything to share in pictures=( CAW is already talking about riding with Daddy in the truck next year. He was also quite disappointed this parade did not feature any tractors.
On Saturday night I got away for dinner with Angie and Andrea. Very fun to finally catch up in person.

Last night we picked the kids up from daycare and told them we had flu shot appointments at 5 p.m. They both freaked out more than I imagined. C-girl was saying 'I can't do it Mom' as they stuck her and CAW cried more post-shot than pre-shot. I left knowing it wasn't our best immunization experience but the nurses followed me out telling me how 'great the kids had done' and that 'I should have seen what they had seen that day'. We treated them to McDonalds after and they seemed to quickly forget the trauma they had endured.

Uncle D managed to get sick. He is home again from work today. He has a fever and we are all really hoping it doesn't travel to the rest of us! We have a big weekend coming up. I have a conference on Thursday and Friday and C-girl is also counting the days until High School Musical 3 opens on Friday. We are going on Saturday or Sunday with friends from school.
