Easter Fun!

We are exhausted from a full-filled two days of traveling, visiting, spending time with family, and sleeping away from home (which is always an adventure for our family-I laid awake on Saturday night/Sunday morning and reminded myself that CBW overcame this when she turned four so I only have a little over a year to go!)!

On Saturday we left on our adventure (it was delayed a day due to more bad weather). We headed to check up on Teresa and her ongoing bed rest. We had lunch and the kids got to run around and have some fun. Even though Teresa is supposed to be on bed rest her house was meticulous and she had baked some yummy brownies for dessert.

Saturday afternoon/evening we got to see Uncle D's family. The kids loved playing with their cousins. CBW got a new scooter (so now she can be cool like the other kids in her class) and she and Uncle D finally built their 2008 snowperson (which I didn't take a photo of-update Grandma Linda sent one!). We played Uno and Brandon, Linda, and I survived the longest Uno game ever!

CAW continued to be a complete disaster sleeping away from home. He didn't fall asleep until after midnight and then managed to fall off the bed (on his Father's watch).

Even though there wasn't much time that everyone was sleeping, the Easter Bunny managed to sneak in and leave a basket for both CBW and CAW.

We then packed up and headed to my Great Grandma's for Easter dinner. I had insisted we couldn't do both of these things in the same weekend and would have to say 'no' but crazy Uncle D was sure we could do it. Of course his tune had changed on Sunday morning when we (I mean I) was trying to feed the kids, dress the kids, pack for the kids, and load the van. Luckily Grandma and Grandpa's Easter Bunny had left a new movie which helped for the long ride.

Great Grandma (with the oval hair...as CBW calls her) had a great Easter dinner. The highlight was the homemade quilt she made for Kirsten. That was a huge hit. We then headed back to my folks so Uncle D and CAW could nap. When CAW woke we had yet another Easter basket hunt, two more tractor rides, and then we were off and running for home.
