Weekend 'o Fun

We had a great 'family weekend' (as CBW calls it) !

On Saturday CBW and I headed to the Cities to celebrate Olivia's 6th birthday. We bowled and had a great time. CBW really enjoyed bumper bowling. As always, she enjoyed the cake and ice cream too. It is so fun to spend a day alone with her.

We stopped at Auntie's work on the way in. After the party we hit 'Toys R Us.' CBW thought she was in heaven. Then we visited my cousin Teresa, got a haircut, got Uncle D a burrito from Chipotle and then stopped to see my pal Andrea (she is a single mom for eight weekends-Uncle D has now considered starting to hunt!) Andrea was managing so well but I think she also enjoyed some adult company.

We were hopeful we could see Luka and Leila too but Leila had the opportunity to teach a yoga class late in the day.

We packed a lot in! On Sunday we took it easy. I had a group project for class and we played outside last night for a good two hours.

This week is going to be nuts as I prepare to be gone for four days, get ready for Halloween, and finalize my presentation that I'm giving Nov. 1. YIKES!
