Hello
We had a weekend filled with getting CAW healthy (now if I could just get healthy). Uncle D is busy with Homecoming this week so I'm running the household solo.
My sister threw a Longaberger basket party this weekend to help raise some more money.
I was thrilled that Teresa and Olivia could come and Teresa even won the free basket!
Please help me. CBW desperately wants an American Girl doll for Christmas.
Is she too young? I'm amazed how many of her friends already have one.
She thinks she wants Julie (a 70's girl) or Kirsten (prairie girl from Minnesota). Her Mom thinks she wants Kit=)
Thoughts (Sara, Andrea, Katie, others)?

I think she's the perfect age. Those books would be great read alouds at night chapter by chapter. I have to admit, I actually went to the American Girl mecca in NYC and walked around every inch of the store (an adult - by myself - just hoping hoping hoping to someday have a daughter to do this with!).
Do check on ebay for a deal!
I am kind of grooving on the 70's girl too! Though I always like Molly . . . let me know what you decide.

Alright...here's my weigh in on this big subject! :-) Kathryn has been LOVING the books lately--loves the history and interesting story lines. She's even made herself a "sock doll" like Kirsten had in one of the books. She's been pretty fascinated with Kirsten and Felicity--but I must say, that Kit is adorable! I know that Julie is the big deal because it's their newest one, so at least you have a hip daughter! Brett's cousin does some of the marketing for American Girls (which are based out of Middleton WI)...so any info you need or want, I can get it for you!

I hope Bird will want the girl from the 40s... I'm not too into the whole thing yet but I'm sure I will be....I vote Kirsten. A 70s doll? Will they make an 80s girl too that looks like Madonna in the Like a Virgin video? Sorry I'm so behind.
